The French Connection, A Letter

My dearest IndiaInk

Alliance Française de Chandigarh is an alma mater. It's where I came after I had to come to live on my own forever. I learnt culture. After a lifetime immersed in English twenty four by seven I looked up British Culture, it's a subject. I read. Had tea, biscuits.

It's been five years now. In February, my presence was required, double o's aren't trained to disappoint. I did it all except physically light the diyas. I was called elsewhere. I became a chief guest slash guest of honour without my name being mentioned directly.

I've come back. Picked up Hira Mandi. Have just been appointed the Diwan of Lahore. I've read the first page, busy writing history since.
