The Honourable (A Humourous Dedication)

India is the country civilization is attributed to. Life took birth in the Himalayas. We're a great nation and historically were famed for our level of education and wealth. Sons of Punjab have always done the motherland proud.

Day after is the fourth death anniversary of a beloved national leader from my neighborhood. His life serves as a guide about life and how to live. Balramji Das Tandon ji was a freedom fighter and a great patriot.


Without killing or bloodshed
You won us our freedom
You're one of India's forefathers
And mine maternal grandpa
We were born at Amritsar
Nine days apart
Different years

Watching you on TV was an honour
Till the very end
A life lived well
A statesman thou art like handsome I
Your Excellency


Wish I'd moved earlier
Into a PG near you
We could've done a splendid
Interview 

India loves you
You're always in our prayers
We have been so influenced
By all the good you did
Bless us this great day
